FAQ

Q: How often should I change my HVAC air filter?

A: Check your HVAC filter monthly and replace it every 1–3 months. Basic fiberglass filters typically last about 30 days, while pleated filters may last 60–90 days. Replace the filter more frequently in homes with pets, smokers, renovation dust, allergies, heavy HVAC use, or poor air quality. If the filter looks dirty, airflow decreases, or the system becomes noisier, replace it immediately. For most homes, 60–90 days is reasonable; high-dust or pet households may require replacement every 30–60 days.

Q: What automotive industry standards do your cabin air filter media comply with?

A: Our media is designed for particulate cabin air filtration. Depending on the construction, they can be tested according to ISO/TS 11155-1, DIN 71460-1, GB/T 32085.1, and QC/T 1000.1-2015, covering filtration efficiency, pressure drop, and dust-holding capacity. Gas filtration standards such as ISO 11155-2 apply only to media containing activated carbon or other adsorbents. Please share your target efficiency, pressure drop, airflow, or OEM specification so we can recommend the appropriate material and confirm the available test data.

Q: What functional composite filter media can you provide to meet the rising demand for “healthy cabins”?

A:We can provide four-layer composite filter media customized to customer requirements. Different layers can combine support, electrostatic meltblown filtration, activated carbon or other functional media, and protective backing. The structure can be optimized for particle filtration efficiency, low pressure drop, dust-holding capacity, odor/VOC removal, stiffness, and basis weight. Please share your target performance and application, and we will recommend the most suitable composite construction for healthy cabin filtration.

Q: Do you support customized development? Can we specify the GSM, width, or specific resistance-to-efficiency ratios?

A:Yes, we support customized development. With meltblown, needle-punching, thermal-bonding, and lamination production lines, all our filter media can be customized. You may specify GSM, width, thickness, stiffness, filtration efficiency, pressure drop, and the required resistance-to-efficiency ratio. Please share your target specifications, application, and testing method. Our technical team will recommend a suitable material structure and arrange sample development for evaluation.

Q:What is filtration media?

A:Filtration media is the material inside a filter that captures and removes particles or contaminants from air or liquids. Common types include meltblown, nonwoven, fiberglass, paper, activated carbon, and composite media. Its performance is mainly evaluated by filtration efficiency, pressure drop, dust-holding capacity, strength, and service life. Different media can be selected or customized for HVAC, automotive, industrial, medical, and other filtration applications.

Q:Difference between PP and PET filter media?

A:PP uses electrostatic adsorption (high efficiency, low resistance, poor humidity stability). PET uses mechanical interception (high tensile strength, excellent humidity/friction resistance, longer lifespan for multi-layer composite structures).

Q:Industries using non-woven filter media?

A:Non-woven filter media is widely used in HVAC, automotive, healthcare, industrial manufacturing, food and beverage, pharmaceuticals, electronics, agriculture, and household appliances. Typical applications include air conditioners, cabin air filters, air purifiers, vacuum cleaners, face masks, liquid filtration, dust collectors, and cleanrooms. Different materials and structures can be customized to meet specific filtration efficiency, pressure drop, strength, and durability requirements.

Q: What is your MOQ?

A:For standard products and regular roll sizes, there is no MOQ. For customized materials requiring a new formula or production setup, the MOQ is generally 1–3 tons, depending on the specifications and manufacturing requirements.

Q:Production lead time?

A:Our typical production lead time is around 15 days after order confirmation. With more than 15 production lines across two manufacturing bases, we can ensure stable capacity, efficient scheduling, and consistent quality. The exact lead time may vary depending on order quantity and customization requirements.

Q:Why use filter elements in a lawn mower?

A:Filter elements protect a lawn mower’s engine by removing dust, grass clippings, pollen, and other debris from the intake air, fuel, or oil. Clean filtration helps maintain proper airflow and combustion, reduces engine wear, improves fuel efficiency, and prevents performance loss or costly damage. Regular inspection and replacement can extend engine life and ensure reliable operation, especially in dusty mowing conditions.

Q: How to select suitable filtration media?

A:Selecting suitable filtration media depends on the application, contaminant type and size, required efficiency, airflow, pressure drop, operating temperature, humidity, chemical exposure, and service life. Strength, dust-holding capacity, cleanability, and cost should also be considered. Please provide your application, target efficiency, airflow or resistance, dimensions, and working conditions. We can recommend an appropriate meltblown, needle-punched, thermal-bonded, or composite material.

Q:Which GSM weight fits filter screens?

A:The suitable GSM depends on the application and required performance. Generally, 15–40 GSM is used for masks and primary filtration; 80–150 GSM suits automotive cabin filters and pleated filter elements; and 150–300 GSM is suitable for industrial vacuum filters and high-pressure cartridge filters. Final selection should also consider filtration efficiency, pressure drop, stiffness, dust-holding capacity, and processing requirements. We can recommend or customize the appropriate GSM based on your specifications.

Q:Can filtration media be customized?

A:Yes. Filtration media can be customized based on application requirements, including material type, basis weight, thickness, width, efficiency, pressure drop, color, and functional treatments such as flame retardant, antibacterial, anti-mold, or water-repellent finishes.

Q:How to test filtration efficiency?

A:Filtration efficiency is tested by passing a controlled aerosol, such as NaCl or DEHS, through the media at a specified airflow rate and measuring particle concentration before and after the filter. Efficiency depends on particle size, airflow, and test standard.

Q:Do you provide free samples?

A:Yes, we can provide free samples. We understand filtration media must be tested and verified before approval. Sample size and freight arrangement can be discussed based on the material type, quantity, and destination.

Q:How much do your products cost?

A:Prices vary depending on material type, specification, quantity, and customization requirements. Please contact us with your product details, and we will provide an accurate quotation based on your needs.
